November 25, 2009. One aspect of the Green Revolution can be seen in some homes and condos in Pacific Beach, San Diego. Some of the newer homes and condos have installed solar panels on the roof. The picture above shows a condo on Riviera Drive. These solar panels should provide big savings for the property owners. Many of these newer properties also have energy-efficient heating and air conditioning systems, appliances, lighting, and low-flow shower heads, faucets, and toilets. Some of these newer properties even utilize low water use landscaping plants. The community of Pacific Beach participates in the City of San Diego’s recycling program, which offers weekly pickups of items that can be recycled.
